  16. IT'S A beta-TEST-VERSION. IF YOU FINDS BUGS, REPORT THEM.

  25.   Wizard of War      by  Florian Dingler

  28. This is a remake of the classical Wizard of Wor, released in
  29. the beginning eighties by Roklan Corp. We know, there are a lot
  30. of people who loved to play that one on their XLs and C64s.
  31. No conversion for the AMIGA or ST was ever made; O.K. there
  32. was Gauntlet, but that was too complicated, with food and elves
  33. and ... and ...
  34. I decided to make a version on my own. As it is a remake, some
  35. features are different from the original version, e.g. the Worluk
  36. vanishes after a given time. He's also capable of disappearing through
  37. the doors at any time. You can't destroy bullet shot by the monsters
  38. (like in `real' life). The algorithm which moves the monsters is
  39. different. There's no Wizard yet. And, after the eigth level the game
  40. always ends (I haven't had time to make more levels by now).
  41. Can you out there in the world send me the original levels ? Just copy
  42. them from the screen to a piece of paper on to ASCIItext and send them
  43. to me. Mail and email addresses to be found below.
  44. Remember, this version is for looking and testing only. You won't have
  45. too mch funplaying it, but I think it's fine to see how WIZARD looks.
  46. So now, play it. It runs in low-res only. Plug yer joysticks in.

  58. If the alltogether response is big enough, I'll release a shareware-
  59. version with better graphics and sound and wizard. So until then, you'll
  60. have to be happy with the pre-release.
